Intitutional Membership

Institutional members of BALAS are respected universities committed to improving lives in Latin American through research and education. BALAS invites about 30 schools to be members each year. These valued partners sustain the programs and activities of BALAS through an annual fee and they receive a range of benefits as well. BALAS institutional membership demonstrates academic leadership in the region.

Deans and directors say the reasons they value their BALAS institutional membership are:

    • Networking with regional schools
    • Keeping up with administrator changes – who is doing what
    • Giving junior faculty a forum to build their careers
    • Innovative programming and partnerships trends and new ideas
    • Visibility to recruit faculty and students
