The 2007 BALAS conference was hosted by INCAE in San Jose, Costa Rica. As part of BALAS tradition the Conference had the strong participation of relevant scholars in the Latin American Region. Scholars from Mexico, the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Costa Rica participated in this conference.

The paper selection process was rigorous and presentations were very fruitful  within a scholarly and friendly environment.

During the event, key topics were discussed to understand the constraints and challenges companies face regarding competitiveness, especially in the Latin American region.

The conference also featured participation from international experts, members of the INCAE faculty, and other distinguished guests.
