Peru placed third in the Top Country category at the annual "Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2018" held by British travel magazine Wanderlust. Attendees at the London ceremony included representatives from different countries, airlines, tour operators and tourism professionals.

Peru is located in the central part of the western coast of South America. The main spoken language is Spanish. Peru counts with a unique biodiversity and it is divided into three main regions: the coast, the highlands and the rainforest. It is a magical spot with a melting pot of different cultures.

You will witness the legacy of ancient cultures like Caral that dates back to the age of civilizations like Mesopotamia. Also, experience Inca cultures and with an unmistakable identity that created wonders such as the Royal Tombs of Sipan, the Nazca Lines, Chan Chan and Machu Picchu.

Eating in Peru is about your palate, it is an expression of the multiple cultures that co-exist in one territory, and in recent years it has become part of the national identity and an incontrovertible, unifying element in Peru.
